Our slaughterhouse in Garrel is in the top ten of the largest abattoirs in Germany; situated in the central Weser-Ems area, one of the country’s major quality pig producing regions. One of the most up-to-date pig slaughtering concerns, the company has been steadily growing in recent years. The plant’s capacity rises to 1.7 million pigs per year.

Modern stabling and relaxation areas ensure sufficient rest periods for the live pigs, and the latest CO2 anaesthetics technology assures stress-free slaughtering. The carcasses in the cold stores are selected according to customer demands. The storage of the pork halves in the cold stores, where they reach the appropriate core temperature and are ready for shipping, is fully automated and targeted.
